GAR Live: Istanbul 2022 Conference
Global Arbitration Review (GAR) hosted its eighth annual GAR Live: Istanbul Conference on June 23, 2022, at Ciragan Palace Kempinski.
The conference, where Erdem & Erdem was also among its sponsors, was attended by prominent arbitration practitioners and lawyers from Turkey and around the world, as well as important personalities from the business world, explored the future of arbitration on a national and worldwide scale.
Erdem & Erdem Founder and Senior Partner Prof. Dr. H. Ercüment Erdem was one of the speakers in the panel on “Presenting Expert Evidence in Arbitration: Good Practise and Common Pitfalls”. During the panel various topics such as the duty of impartiality tribunal appointed experts and/or a joint experts, the roles of professional bodies and expert evidence under foreign law were handled.
The role of national courts in international commercial and investment arbitration, the future of international arbitration, and the current state of international trade, construction, and investment arbitration were also among the topics discussed by the experts and participants throughout the sessions.
