"A look behind the curtain - being an arbitrator or tribunal secretary in Turkish and Swiss arbitrations" event within the scope of Istanbul Arbitration Days organized by Young ISTAC and ASA Below 40 was held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at TOBB Plaza, Istanbul.
The keynote speech of the event was delivered by our Founder and Senior Partner Prof. Dr. H. Ercüment Erdem. In his speech, Prof. Erdem discussed the criteria to be considered in the selection of arbitrators. The panel moderated by Nadja Al Kanawati, then discussed the experience of transition from lawyer to arbitrator from the perspectives of Türkiye and Switzerland. The panel of Turkish and Swiss arbitration practitioners, organized for young practitioners and students seeking their first arbitral appointments, provided useful experiences to prepare for an appointment.
