16th ICC Turkish Arbitration Day

16th ICC Turkish Arbitration Day, organized with the cooperation of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), , National Commitee of ICC Turkey and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), was held online on 17-18 March 2021.

Practicing lawyers, arbitrators, magistrates, engineers, academics, corporate counsel, in-house counsels from chambers, LLM and PhD students showed great interest to the conference which aims to contribute to the development of international commercial and investment arbitration in Turkey, to promote Istanbul as a place for arbitration and alternative dispute resolution as well as the work of Turkish arbitration practitioners both on the domestic and international levels.

At the conference, Prof. Dr. H. Ercüment Erdem, Founder and Senior Partner of Erdem & Erdem and Chair of ICC CLP Commission, moderated the Panel on “Are M&A transactions and related disputes suitable to arbitration?” Prof. Erdem, together with the speakers Stella Leptourgou, Demet Kaşarcıoğlu, Prof. Dr. Tolga Ayoğlu, shared his evaluations on the subject.
