Workshop on the Competition Board's Authority to Conduct On-Site Investigations and Request Information
On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, we conducted a workshop titled “The Competition Board's On-Site Inspection and Authority to Request Information” in our Istanbul office.
During this session, Ecem Süsoy Uygun, Managing Associate, and Merve Bakırcı, Senior Associate of Erdem & Erdem Competition and Compliance Department, explored the Board’s authority to request information and conduct on-site examinations. They addressed issues related to providing incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, and untimely information, discussed current practices concerning on-site inspections, and evaluated the handling of information in the context of attorney-client privilege.
