Istanbul Bilgi University Competition Law in Practice Seminars
Erdem & Erdem Managing Associate Anıl Acar and Associate Elvan Galatalı delivered a presentation on April 7, 2026 within the 7th week of the Competition Law in Practice Seminars held at Istanbul Bilgi University.
The presentation addressed, from a comparative perspective, the legal obligations of undertakings regarding the accuracy and completeness of information submitted to competition authorities. In this context, the legal nature of sanctions related to the provision of incorrect or misleading information, enforcement conditions , and the consequences of such infringements for undertakings were examined in light of recent Competition Board decisions and European Union practice.
The session also highlighted the importance of compliance with the obligations on submitting information to the Competition Authority in practice and provided a detailed assessment of the potential legal and administrative risks undertakings may face.
