Competition Symposium in Labor Markets

The "Competition Symposium in Labor Markets" organized by the Competition Authority and Boğaziçi University was held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Boğaziçi University Albert Long Hall. 

Our Founder and Senior Partner Prof. Dr. H. Ercüment Erdem moderated a panel on "Non-Competition Agreements between Employer and Employee" within the scope of the symposium. In the panel, led by Ercüment Erdem, the legal basis and limits of non-compete clauses in contracts between employers and employees, as well as the practices of competition authorities regarding competition restrictions in labor markets were discussed.

The symposium, which included 3 separate panels under the titles of Competition Law Problems in Labor Markets, Non-Competition Prohibitions between Employer and Employee and the Future of Business, was attended by many lawyers and economists, academicians, employers and employee representatives who are experts in their fields, including our Erdem & Erdem Competition and Compliance team.
