10th Competiton Law Certification Program

10th Competition Law Certificate Program was held by Istanbul Bilgi University between October 10 and November 22. The program consisted of 16 modules whose participants were lawyers, legal interns, students that are interested in competition law and the professionals that are dealing with the rules of competition law. Mert Karamustafaoğlu, Partner & Competition and Compliance Leader at Erdem & Erdem, presented a module titled “Competition in Regulated Markets: Telecom and Energy Case”.

In his presentation, Mert Karamustafaoğlu, discussed why some markets are regulated privately in terms of telecommunication and energy markets, and how competition law should be applied by which authority in these markets, and the rules of competition which are specific to these markets. In this context, Facebook decision and recently developed infringement types were also examined.
