Practical Competition Law Seminars 2022
Since 2006, Istanbul Bilgi University's Competition Law Policy Application and Research Center has been offering Practical Competition Law Seminars. This year's spring semester of the program, which aims to provide participants with information about Turkish and comparative competition law practice as well as current issues and discussions is taking place between March 10 and June 2, 2022.
In the third week session of the program, held on March 24, 2022, Erdem & Erdem Law Firm Partner and Competition & Compliance Leader Mert Karamustafaoğlu and Senior Associate Merve Bakırcı evaluated the commitment mechanism in the first year of its implementation. Our associates reviewed the Competition Board's decisions in detail, as well as the judicial review of commitment decisions, the proportional use of the commitment mechanism and the use of it as a regulatory tool.
