German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Türkiye) Workshop on Key Regulatory Developments in Sustainability
The workshop titled “Key Regulatory Developments in Sustainability in Türkiye”, organized by the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Türkiye), was held online on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, between 10:30 and 12:30.
Managing Associate Ecem Süsoy Uygun, Senior Associate Rüştü Mert Kaşka and Associate Ceren Eke from Erdem & Erdem participated as speakers in the workshop.
During their presentation, Ms. Uygun, Mr. Kaşka, and Ms. Eke provided an in-depth analysis of the Climate Law, the Emissions Trading System (ETS), the Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), and Sustainability Auditing. They emphasized the new obligations introduced under the legal framework aligned with Türkiye’s 2053 net-zero target, the mechanisms for carbon pricing, and the increasing importance of sustainability reporting for businesses.
In the event, where Erdem & Erdem associates offered a comprehensive legal perspective on sustainability, they discussed practical challenges and proposed solutions that companies may encounter in complying with both domestic and international regulations. The participants had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the latest legislative developments in sustainability and their implications for the business environment in Türkiye.
