Erdem & Erdem appoints İbrahim Onur Baysal as Partner and Capital Markets Leader

We are proud to announce that İbrahim Onur Baysal joined Erdem & Erdem as Partner and Capital Markets Leader.

İbrahim Onur Baysal started his career at the Capital Markets Board in 2009. After working for more than 10 years as a Legal Expert and Chief Legal Expert in various units of the Board, he continued his career as Chief Legal Counsel in the private sector.

Mr. Baysal has experience in capital markets transactions, company and financial institution reviews and audits, public regulations, mutual funds, collective investment undertakings, stock exchanges, corporate governance, M&A’s, rights and protection of minority shareholders and other stakeholders, disclosure requirements, sell-outs, squeeze-outs, capital increase/decrease, financial crimes and corporate compliance.

He advises national and multinational companies operating in various sectors on their projects seeking financing through capital markets and restructuring. In addition, he has extensive experience in corporate matters and specializes in finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, supply, manufacturing, procurement, intellectual property, dealership/distributorship, agency and contract manufacturing agreements, particularly in the automotive sector.

He also participated in various working groups with both national and international public entities regarding regulation of capital markets, transposition of EU regulations, Islamic Finance, sustainable finance and prevention of corruption.
