Cooperation Protocol Signed Between the Turkish Competition Authority and Energy Market Regulatory Authority

A cooperation protocol (Protocol) has been signed between the Turkish Competition Authority and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority. The Protocol was signed on 22 January 2026 by Birol Küle, President of the Turkish Competition Authority, and Mustafa Yılmaz, President of Energy Market Regulatory Authority, with the aim of ensuring coordination between the two authorities in energy and environmental markets.

According to the official announcement, the Protocol envisages cooperation, information sharing, exchange of views, and coordination between the authorities.

The active cooperation of the two regulatory authorities overseeing energy and environmental markets is of particular importance for the relevant markets.
