Takasbank has been granted an Operating Certificate regarding Future Electricity Market and Organized Renewable Energy Source Guarantee Market
Through the promulgation of the Decision of the Central Bank of The Republic of Turkey (“CBRT”) dated 12.11.2020 and numbered 10975/20574 (“Decision”), published in the Official Gazette dated 25.11.2020 and numbered 31315, İstanbul Takas ve Saklama Bankası A.Ş. (Takasbank) has been authorized to provide cash clearing and security services for transactions in the following markets:
- Forward Electricity Market
- Organized Renewable Energy Resource Guarantee Market
In addition, while the effective date of the procedures and principles regarding Forward Electricity Market, which enables the realization of future dated transactions that cause physical delivery obligation, is 01.12.2020; it was determined as 01.06.2021 through the decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Board dated 19.11.2020 and numbered 9704.
