The Regulation on Real Estate Trade has been amended
The Regulation on the Amendment to the Regulation on Real Estate Trade (“Regulation”) entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated October 14, 2020 and numbered 31274.
With the introduction of the amendments, it has been regulated that real estate trade can be carried out by enterprises with certificate of authority and contracted enterprises.
The requirements for certificate of authority, as well as for brokers have been amended. Obligation of Notification has been included and certain information and documents to be transferred to the Information System have been established with the amendment.
Although the Regulation entered into force on October 14, 2020, the obligation of those who mediate the advertisements for real estate trade on the internet to control certificate of authority and to provide communication with customer services so that requests and complaints regarding advertisements can be transmitted via at least one of the internet-based communication methods and via telephone have been postponed to January 1, 2021.
