The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operation Licenses Has Been Published

The Regulation (Amending Regulation) Amending the Regulation on Workplace Opening and Operation Licenses (Regulation) has entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated 25.08.2022 and numbered 31934.

Some of the important amendments introduced by the Amending Regulation are outlined below:

• It is regulated that secondary fields of activity in non-sanitary enterprises shall be determined at the same or lower level as the main field of activity.
• Temporary activity certificates issued in accordance with the Environmental Permit and License Regulation will replace environmental permit and license certificates for the purposes of the Regulation’s articles regulating applications for the opening of enterprises, opening licenses, site selection and facility establishment permits, documents required for licenses, and second and third class non-sanitary enterprises.
• Having made additions to the list of non-sanitary enterprises listed under Annex-2 of the Regulation, the criteria for enterprises to be considered as non-sanitary enterprises, particularly for those operating in the energy, metallurgy and machinery, chemical, petrochemical, food and waste material treatment industries are expanded.
• The transition period for certain workplaces, including electric vehicle charging stations, has been extended until 31.07.2023.
