The Ministry of Trade published the Communiqué on Ship Agency Services Tariff

The Communiqué on Ship Agency Services Tariff (Communiqué) prepared by the Ministry of Trade for the ship agencies authorized as per the Regulation on Ship Agencies is published in the Official Gazette dated 19.09.2023 and numbered 32314.

• With the Communiqué, the base fee tariffs for ship agency services have been determined. The basic fees in the tariffs are determined according to the tonnage of the ship; between EUR 600 and 4,000 for agency services and between EUR 300 and 2,000 for protective agency services. The fees for ships passing through the Dardanelles and the Bosphorus will range from EUR 200 and 640 for agency services and EUR 100 and 320 for protective agency services.
• Under the Communiqué, ship agents must inform and obtain approval in writing to charge more than the fees in the tariff.
• All agency, protective agency, commission, primage, surveillance, port fees, other expenses of the ships sailing to Turkish ports or passing through Turkish straits shall be paid in cash to the ship agency.
• Taxes, duties, fees, stamps, and compulsory expenses related to the cargo, passengers or goods of ships and marine vessels, and expenses to be paid for machinery, equipment, materials, and personnel of ships and marine vessels, freight and remittance expenses are not included in the fees to be charged within the scope of the Communiqué.
• With the Communiqué, the Communiqué on Shipping Agency Services Tariff (ITG: 2008/1) published in the Official Gazette dated 10.03.2008 and numbered 26812 is repealed and the Communiqué enters into force within 1 month following its publication.
