Wealth Amnesty Communiqué has been Published
Through the promulgation of General Communiqué Serial No. 1 on Bringing Some Assets to the Economy (“Wealth Amnesty Communiqué”) which is published in the Official Gazette dated 9th August 2022 and no. 31918, the principles regarding the implementation of Wealth Amnesty which is introduced with the Law No. 7417 on the Amendment to the Civil Servants Law, Certain Laws and Decree No. 375 ("Law No. 7417") has been determined.
Through the Wealth Amnesty Communiqué, detailed explanations regarding the below mentioned issues are introduced:
- Notification of money, gold, foreign exchange, securities, and other capital market instruments held abroad, which belong to real or legal persons to banks and intermediary institutions; and bringing these assets into Turkey,
- Transactions to be made by banks and intermediary institutions upon notification of the assets within the scope,
- Situation of assets that belong to the legal representatives, partners, or proxies of companies,
- Registration of the notified or declared assets to the legal books,
- Cases where no tax assessment or tax inspection will be conducted.
Wealth Amnesty Communiqué enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette (9th August 2022).
