Communiqué on the Implementation Principles of Digital Transformation Support Program Published

The Communiqué on the Implementation Principles of the Digital Transformation Support Program (Communiqué) entered into force through publication in the Official Gazette dated 26.07.2024 and numbered 32613.
Significant issues in the Communiqué are summarized below:
- The expenditures to be supported within the scope of the digital transformation program are made according to the product list determined by the Ministry of Industry and Technology (Ministry) by considering criteria such as priorities in public policy and strategy documents, needs of sectors, potential to generate added value, applicability, sustainability and adequacy of technology suppliers.
- The General Directorate of National Technology (GDNT) conducts the works and procedures regarding the application, evaluation, and monitoring processes within the program’s scope.
- The companies that will apply to the program must (i) be resident in Turkey and have been operating for at least 5 years at the date of application, (ii) operate in the main field of activity determined by the Ministry, (iii) have a minimum fixed investment amount of 30 million Turkish Liras.
- Investment plans that are deemed appropriate will be approved by the GDNT and digital transformation center certificates will be issued to the enterprises for which an incentive certificate is issued. The investor must submit to the Ministry the progress report on the digital transformation investments made each year during the incentive certificate period.
