The Communiqué on Redetermination of Minimum Equity Amounts for Payment and Electronic Money Institutions (Communiqué) has been published in the Official Gazette dated 27.01.2024 and numbered 32442. The Communiqué enters into force on 30.06.2024 and amends the minimum equity amounts stipulated in Article 33 of the Regulation on Payment Services and Electronic Money Issuance and Payment Service Providers.

As per the Communiqué, the minimum equity amounts are determined as follows: 

  • TRY 10,000,000 for payment institutions providing services for intermediation of invoice payments,
  • TRY 20,000,000 for other payment institutions, except for payment institutions that provide consolidated data through online platforms regarding the payment account of payment service users under payment service providers,
  • TRY 55,000,000 for electronic money institutions.
