The Personal Data Protection Authority (Authority) has updated the Guide on Cookie Practices, which provides practical recommendations for data controllers processing personal data through cookies on desktop and mobile websites as well as web-based applications.
Within the Guide, the obligations that data controllers must comply with when using cookies, such as obtaining explicit consent, fulfilling the obligation to inform, classifying cookie types, and ensuring the lawful processing of personal data, are addressed in detail. In addition, examples of good and bad practices are included with visual materials to enhance awareness regarding practical implementation.
