On 18.04.2024, it was announced that a cooperation protocol (Protocol) was signed between the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority and the Personal Data Protection Board of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The Protocol aims to ensure the compliance with and enforcement of the laws and regulatory acts of the Parties and to promote cooperation to contribute to a more comprehensive protection of human rights and freedoms, in particular in the field of privacy and personal data protection in the countries of the Parties.
