Energy Law Certification Program October 2023

Erdem & Erdem Managing Associate Ecem Süsoy Uygun gave a training on "Ethics in the Energy Sector and Security of Personal Data" on Saturday, October 14th within the scope of the Energy Law Certificate Program organized by Bahçeşehir University Continuing Education Center and Istanbul Institute.

During the training, Att. Süsoy Uygun discussed personal data protection law and related national and international legislation. She discussed the principles to be followed in the processing of personal data in energy markets and the obligations regarding data security, together with the decisions of local and foreign data protection authorities. In her presentation, where she evaluated the reflections of practices in the digitalized energy sector on data law and the recently enacted EU data legislation in this field, she also touched upon the basic ethical principles to be followed in energy markets.

The training, which emphasized the importance of ethical principles and rules applied in the rapidly developing and growing energy sector, was attended by middle and senior level managers and legal advisors in the energy sector.
