CMB Announced the Expansion of the e-Application System’s Scope
Under its Decision numbered 18/470 and dated 28.03.2024, the Capital Markets Board (CMB) announced that the applications of issuers, institutions, and organizations within the scope of the Central Registry System (MERSIS), which fall under the jurisdiction of the CMB's Corporate Finance Department, should be made electronically through the e-Application System as of 15.04.2024. According to the Decision dated 25.07.2024 and numbered 39/1162 (Board Decision), the CMB decided that the applications to be made to the CMB by other institutions and organizations applying within the scope of the Capital Markets Law numbered 6362 (CML) and falling within the jurisdiction of the CMB’s Legal Affairs Department, Institutional Investors Department, Intermediary Activities Department, Accounting Standards Department and Corporate Finance Department must be made electronically through the e-Application System starting from 05.08.2024.
Applications submitted to the CMB by courts, the prosecutor's office, or relevant persons or institutions within the scope of the right to petition, requests and opinion letters, denunciations, complaints, and applications of a similar nature are excluded from the scope of e-Application.
