Rüştü Mert Kaşka and İlayda Salkım Delivered a Guest Lecture at Istanbul Bilgi University Mergers and Acquisitions Course
Erdem & Erdem Senior Associate Rüştü Mert Kaşka and Erdem & Erdem Associate İlayda Salkım delivered a presentation on April 10, 2026, within the scope of the Law/E 498 Mergers and Acquisitions course held at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law.
The presentation titled “Closing and Share Transfers” addressed closing procedures and share transfer processes carried out within the scope of share purchase agreements in mergers and acquisitions transactions. In this context, obligations to be fulfilled before closing, legal and operational procedures regarding the completion of share transfers, and key issues encountered in practice were examined in detail.
The presentation also included practical assessments regarding the contractual aspects of share transfer transactions, the performance of obligations between the parties, coordination of transaction documents, and the structuring of closing mechanisms.
The event was held with strong participation from students interested in mergers and acquisitions and provided attendees with practical insights into transaction practice.
